14 DAYS UGANDA SAFARI

Day 01: Arrival and hotel transfer.

On arrival, you will be met and received by your driver guide from Asyanut safaris, who will then brief you as he transfers you to your hotel for overnight at Cassia lodge.(BB)

Day 02: Kampala – Murchison falls national park.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Murchison falls national park with an en route stop over at Ziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking and lunch in Masindi town before proceeding to the park. On arrival, you will encounter variety of bird species, monkeys, baboons, buffalos as you transfer for a late afternoon visit to the top of the falls and will stay overnight at Paraa safari lodge. Day 03: Murchison falls

After an early morning breakfast, transfer for a game drive to the northern bank in search of animals like; Giraffes, lions, Elephants, Oribi, Bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck hyena and if you’re lucky, the leopard. Return to have your lunch and after lunch, transfer for a 3hours boat ride on the Nile river to the bottom of the falls that allows you more bird watching of species and animals like: – crocodiles, hippos and elephants, before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Paraa safari lodge. Day 04: Murchison falls national park – Semliki national park.

After your breakfast, depart Murchison falls to Fort portal that allows you an en route lunch break. Arriving Fort portal town late in the afternoon and proceed to Semliki for a relaxed evening, dinner and overnight at Ntoroko game lodge. (FB)

Day 05: Semliki national park – Kibale forest.

After an early morning breakfast, transfer for a game drive in Semliki game reserve with an opportunity to visit the female and male hot springs and also visit the local pygmies community to see these people’s way of life and cultures. Later return and transfer to Kibale forest national park for dinner and overnight at Primate Lodge. (FB)

Day 06: Kibale forest national park

After your breakfast at 7:30am, you will transfer to the chimpanzee tracking information office for a pre-briefing by your ranger guide who will then lead you into the rain forest in such of the Chimpanzees and other primates, this will see you return to have your lunch at your lodge and later proceed for an afternoon swamp walk at Bigodi with an opportunity to meet and interact with the local communities here. Overnight at Primate lodge. (FB)

Day 07: Kibale forest – Queen Elizabeth national park.

After your breakfast, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park via Kasese that allows you a visit to Amabere ga Nyinamwuiru a famous cultural site attached to the Tooro kingdom and if time allows visit the crater lakes before returning to have your lunch in Fort portal town and proceed to Queen Elizabeth national park for evening, dinner and overnight at Mweya safari lodge. Day 08: Queen Elizabeth national park.

After an early morning warm up tea or coffee, you will head for a game drive along Kasenyi tracks and Queens Mile in search of animals like: lions, elephants, cape buffalos, warthogs, spotted hyenas, mangoose, waterbucks, kobs and, if you’re lucky the leopard and about 606 bird species recorded here. After lunch, transfer to enjoy a unique two hours boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This launch cruise gives you a great opportunity for photography, bird watching and game viewing at close range. Return for a relaxed evening, dinner and overnight at Mweya safari lodge. (FB)

Day 09: Queen Elizabeth national park Ishasha sector – Bwindi.

After your breakfast, you will transfer for a game drive to the Ishasha sector in search of the tree climbing lions and other animal species(however, this will depend on the road condition to Ishasha at the time of visit otherwise you may go via Ishaka) proceeding to Bwindi impenetrable gorilla forest national park. Dinner and overnight at Ruhija gorilla lodge. (FB)

Day 10: Gorilla trekking

After an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the gorilla tracking information office for a pre-briefing by the ranger guides who will then lead you into the forest trekking this great relatives of ours (Gorillas). The rainforest is dense and is crisscrossed by numerous animal trails, the thrill of spending time and observing the gorillas is a memorable one. Gorillas are shy and peaceful animals and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact with each other. After this day’s gorgeous adventure, you will return to your lodge for lunch (if not parked) and if time allows, transfer for a short community/nature walk to see this local people’s way of life and cultures or just relax at your lodge, dinner and overnight at Ruhija gorilla lodge. Day 11: Bwindi – Lake Bunyonyi.

After your breakfast, transfer to lake Bunyonyi, arriving to relax at your lodge, after lunch, optionally transfer for a boat ride around lake Bunyonyi’s numerous islands for a great opportunity for photography, sightseeing and bird watching. Return for overnight at Bunyonyi overland resort. (FB)

Day 12: Bunyonyi – Lake Mburo

After your breakfast, transfer to Lake Mburo national park arriving for lunch at your lodge. After lunch transfer for a boat ride. Dinner and overnight at Arcadia cottages. (FB)

Day 13: Lake Mburo – Kampala

After an early morning breakfast, transfer for a game drive in search of the beautiful impalas, zebras, cape buffalos, elands, oribi, topis among other animal and bird species that your guide will help you spot. Return to your lodge and transfer back to Kampala with an en route stop over at the Equator for lunch and perform a simple experiment before proceeding to arrive in Kampala. Overnight at Cassia lodge. (BB)

Day 14: Kampala – Jinja – Entebbe

After your early breakfast, drive to the Eastern town of Jinja for a full day excursion visiting Ssezibwa falls (The beautiful and spiritual Ssezibwa falls have long been the favorite of the Kabakas – Kings of Buganda). Here the “black- river water” tumbles over the rocks into the pool below and occasionally a traditional healer performs ceremonies for those seeking love, children, a good harvest, or successful business deal) proceed to the Source of the Nile with a visit to the Speke monument, Bujagali falls, and adrift camp. Lunch will be served at adrift camp on the shores of the Nile River. Afternoon, drive back to Kampala through Mabira forest and colorful roadside fruit markets. If time allows do a forest walk in mabira forest or just proceed to arrive in Kampala check inn at Gately inn Entebbe to freshen up before your airport transfer. (Today’s programme depends on your flight/departure time)
OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES INCLUDE: Full/half day white water rafting, the Nile high bungy jumping, the Wild Nile jet boat, Quad biking, horse riding and each require an advance booking and attract a fee.)
