Arrive at Entebbe International Airport where you will be met by your guide from Asyanut Tours who will warmly greet you and transfer you to your hotel either Botanical Beach hotel / Speke Resort Munyonyo / Hotel International 2000 Muyenga for an overnight rest . Bed and Breakfast.
Day 2: Entebbe tour
After breakfast and meeting the Tours Manager who will brief you and hand you over to your guide,…. to take you around the beautiful surroundings areas of Entebbe translated into “chair” in A local language Luganda which is a gateway into Uganda by air, Entebbe is a very vital town both historically and presently. A visit on the Islands by boat will take you to the Ngamba Chimpanzee Sanctuary with packed lunch here in the Island, which offers an interesting opportunity to view Chimps rescued and given refuge. Returning back to a visit at Entebbe Wild Life Educational Center a show piece of Ugandan fauna particularly Chimpanzees and birds, Entebbe Botanical Gardens developed from a natural forest in 1898, Entebbe Resort Beach, Lutembe the water bird’s paradise, the Garuga golf course present relaxation opportunities. Also worth visiting is the traditional and colorful Kasenyi fishing villages. With a vast of interesting assortment of hotels, Entebbe is a variety like; the Windsor Lake Victoria, Botanical Beach Hotel and Entebbe Resort Beach Hotel. One can also find affordable Inns like the Golf View and Flight Motel. You will need to have night rest at the Golf View Inn after this day’s tour and feel the breeze of the surroundings and prepare for the next days city tour. (Fullboard)
Day 3: City tour
After breakfast leave Entebbe for Kampala, and a fascinating yesterday, the capital city of Uganda which spreads over seven hills, originating from 1891 when the Kabaka of Buganda had his court on Rubaga and Mengo hills. Kampala obtained its name from “kasozi k’impala” or the hill of antelopes, one can see the city with its red / green-tiled and iron roofed bungalows; the hotels and other tall buildings also rise in the skyline. Among other sites to be visited are Makerere University, Bahai temple, the Kasubi tombs (the traditional burial ground of the Buganda kings), Namirembe and Rubaga cathedrals, Namugongo martyrs shrine (famous for the execution of Christians in 1886, Namboole National Stadium, Luzira Port And The Maximu Prison, Kabaka’s lake, with your lunch break at Nandos or Steers which are in the traffic area of Kampala before head for another scenic beauty like; Kibuli mosque, Back packers camping site and the Uganda Museum which houses a varied display of Uganda’s cultural heritage, having enough time could also make you visit the Golf course, Garden City shopping center, Shoprite ending your tour by visiting Nakasero market, famous for its all year round supply of fresh fruits. However, Kampala nightlife offers a variety of restaurants, nightclubs and local places you can visit and sample it out. Day 4: Source of the Nile
After a night rest and breakfast, a days’ drive will take you to the fresh water… Lake Victoria with its Source at the Nile, which starts its Northward journey near a town called Jinja 80 km from Kampala, and Uganda’s second industrialized town after Kampala. First exposed by John Hanning Speke (the first white explorer) in 1862.The mighty Nile then flows via Bujagali falls renowned for white water rafting your interest in water rafting (if you are interested in water rafting a request can be made in order to secure a booking) will bring your joy go on and on in the day and will give you memories to remember and having your lunch at the Sunset Hotel in Jinja… and on to Lake Kyoga and the Murchison falls national park where the waters are forced through a six metre wide cleft and down a 30 meter drop. This transforms into a beautiful plume of spray that rises beautifully into the sky. From here, the Nile continues its journey to lake Albert and to form the White Nile, the principle source of irrigation for the Sudan and onwards to the Mediterranean Sea.
On the way to Jinja, is the Mabira forest reserve renowned for its cool and refreshing forest walks and monkeys. The sugar plantation, tea estates can be seen at Lugazi. Other interesting sites include: – Rippon falls, Owen Falls Dam (Kiira Dam) that produces Hydro-Electricity for all You will return to Kampala late in the evening, overnight in Muyenga country Club or Hotel International.
After the great adventure in Entebbe, the city and the Source of the Nile Jinja Town, its time transfer to Entebbe Airport for departure back home with your plane.
