WILDLIFE SAFARIS
Uganda’s a wild life viewing opportunity is totally unspoiled by over development and commercialization. The country realizes that, while its natural beauty can be turned into its economic advantage, great care must be taken to ensure this priceless asset is fully protected from exploitation.
These are the most interesting features in Uganda to view and have attracted many people of the world.

ADVENTUROUS SAFARIS
Asyanut organizes adventure safaris to various parts of Uganda. Wildlife Safaris are among the adventure tours that Asyanut safaris organize. During an adventure safari to one of the Parks and sites in Uganda, you will be able to see animals like mountain gorillas which can be tracked in Bwindi Impenetrable National Pack. Gorilla Tracking is a major tourist appeal especially in Bwindi.
There are chimpanzees in the Kibale Forest National Park which offers the best tracking activity for these primates, Baboons, Colobus, Blue Red tail Monkeys, Mangabey, Bush Babies and Pottos.
Asyanut Safaris also organizes safaris to Kyambura Wildlife Reserve which is part of Queen Elizabeth National Park and supports Elephants, Buffaloes, Leopards, Hogs and others. Kibale forest national Park is one of the unique and stately forests in Uganda, it is a habitat of the impressive mammal like Bats, Elephants and others.
But there is more adventure! Uganda has some amazing hiking trails in the Rwenzori Mountains. You could climb for days and see the peak covered in snow. We have the amazing Volcanoes which can me climbed and that will give you a few of Rwanda, Uganda and Congo…all in one moment.
Uganda has Mount. Elgon, a national park that will take you to the amazing Sipi Falls.

FISHING OPPORTUNITIES IN UGANDA
Uganda is endowed with one third of fresh water bodies and this offers an opportunity for sport fishing on the lakes and rivers as well as encourages fishing as an economic activity. The two common methods of fishing include Net fishing and Basket fishing. These can be carried out in lakes like: Lake Victoria, Lake Albert, Lake Kyoga and along River Nile. The most common types of fish caught in these waters are Tilapia and Nile perch.
The Nile perch, commonly weighs 60kg with a record catch of 100kg, it is abundant in Lake Victoria and in the River Nile. Other species in the river include tilapia and the ferocious fighter, the tiger fish, which is common in Lake Albert. Murchison Falls is another place for sport fishing. Lake Bunyonyi is famous for Cray fish.
BIRDING SAFARIS
Uganda is the richest country for birding in Africa with about 1000 bird species recorded. Places to be visited for birding include: Botanical Gardens, Kampala Sheraton Gardens, Golf Course grounds, Mabira Forest on the Kampala Jinja highway, the Lubiri, Kansanga and Nakivubo swamps.
Among the parks are Lake Mburo with 315 birds recorded, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park 350 birds recorded, Mgahinga Gorilla Park 184 birds recorded, Queen Elizabeth National Park 600 birds recorded, Rwenzori Mountains National Park 177 birds recorded, Semuliki National Park 441 birds recorded, Kibale Forest National Park 375 birds recorded, Murchison Falls National Park 451 birds recorded, Kidepo Valley National Park 475 birds recorded.
Asyanut Safaris plans birding safaris in any part of Uganda where a visitor wishes to view birds at close range for example, on the Kazinga channel sanctuary which is 207km, 24km long partly within the Rwenzori National Park and its east-central boarder and part of the southern shores of Lake George.
Some of the birds that can be seen in these places include: the Crowned Crane, the Horn bill stork, Maribou stork, Shoe Bill Stork, Flycatcher, Ross’s Turaco, Grey wood pecker king fisher, Fish Eagle, Long tailed Starling, Bee eater, Great White Cormorants, Knob-tailed ducks, Jacana, Flamingoes on lake Katwe, other birds can be viewed on the Uganda Tourist Board web Site under the title birding.
Bigodi wetland sanctuary situated around Magombe swamp has 138 species of birds that have been identified. One of the main birds found in the Sanctuary us the Great Turaco. This whole variety of bird species is for the Tourist to view and for the bird Researchers.
CITY & HISTORICAL TOURS
The historical sites include the Kasubi Tombs which are the burial grounds for Buganda kings, here the Kabaka Mutesa1, Mutesa 2, Mwanga, and Daudi chwa are buried. The Amabere caves in Nyakasura area in Fort portal; Toro Palace and ceremonial place of the (Omukama king of Toro); Karambi Tombs,
Kiwatule Recreational Centre is the resent establishment representing the cultural institutions of Uganda and the tribes’ architecture. Historical site of Lake George, Lake Edward and Katungulu site. Lake Edward channel where there are carbonate bones, of homosapient.
Religious tolerance is important part of the present day Uganda. Christians, Moslems, Hindus are in harmony, free to practice their own religion. Most of our Temples and churches are in strategic places and convenient for celebrations/ prayers the historical religious Hills include Rubaga Hill, which was colonized by the French Catholics, Mengo Hill is the site for the palace of the kings of Buganda which was the Headquaters 0f the British church Missionary society and Kibuli Hill the Moslem centre.
Historically Nakasero Hill and Kololo Hill provided administrative offices and diplomatic residential areas while Makerere was established as a centre for learning. The British colonial administration established a watch tower on Kampala Hill built by Lugard and the Uganda Museum where the cultural art facts are kept. After work, the citizens, non-citizens and the Tourist are most apparent in their enormous numbers enjoying themselves in restaurants, night clubs, pubs and health clubs to mention but a few.
GORILLA TRACKING
The Gorilla’s are one among the most interesting features in Uganda to view and have attracted many people of the world. The primates, including the mountain gorillas which are found in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. About 32 gorillas, almost half of the world population have been recorded, tracking is the major activity here with 10 groups currently available in Bwindi for daily tracking.
Buhoma Region: northwestern part of the park, 3 Gorilla Groups in this area; Mubare (M-Group), Habinyanja (H-Group) and Rushegura (R-Group).
Nkuringo Region: Southern part of the park, 1 Gorilla Group; Nkuringo (N-Group).
Rushaga Region: Southeastern part of the park, 3 Gorilla Groups in this area; Shongi (S-Group), Mishaya (Mi-Group) and Kahunhye (K-Group).
Ruhija Region: Eastern part of the park, 3 Gorilla Groups in this area; Bitukura (B-Group), Oruzooja (O-Group) and Kyaguriro (Ky-Group).
Other primates include Chimpanzees in the Kibale Forest National Park, in Queen Elizabeth National Park and in Budongo Forest, Murchison Falls National Park. As well there are primates such as Baboons, Colobus, Blue Red tail Monkeys, Mangabey, Bush Babies and Pottos to name a few.
NATURE WALKS
Creating the emphasis on eco-tourism and in response to increasing demand from tourists, Asyanut Safaris has designed a safari to trail you in the protected areas such as the Rwenzori Mountains, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Reserve, Murchison Falls (Budongo forest), Kibale Forest, Kidepo Valley or Queen Elizabeth National Parks. Guided excursions are arranged by Asyanut to these sites to see Chimpanzees, Gorillas and other primates. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park has 4 fantastic hiking trails.
